We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the role of Distribution Specialist I to work in this exciting new area of cancer immunotherapy to develop, manage and maintain a GMP/Non-GMP warehouse and inventory management system. In this role, you will perform activities to support manufacturing operations, product shipping, and component receiving to ensure inventory accuracy and timely supply of materials to manufacturing production suites to meet demands.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Plan, oversee, and participate in the materials management operations and activities to support Production operations team and other internal customers
Manage the day-to-day assignments of warehouse job tasks and monitor completion of required activities
Receive incoming shipments of non-GMP/GMP materials and equipment following established procedures
Dispense and kit GMP materials to support production operations
Prepare and deliver raw materials, samples, finished product, etc. to various departments as needed ensuring proper procedure and temperature range are followed
Maintain accurate inventory of GMP warehouse materials
Performing inventory cycle counts
Perform accurate ERP transactions
Monitor Kanban area to ensure optimum replenishment of materials
Communicate inventory discrepancies to warehouse operations team and escalate when appropriate
Cross-train in all areas of the warehouse operations
Pick, Pack, and Ship finished product, materials, and equipment as required per established policies and procedures
Ensure individual employee training is up-to-date
Adhere to all safety procedures and GMP’s requirements at all times
Keep warehouse operation clean and inspection ready at all times
Assist in the revision of area SOP’s
Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- AA degree
- High School diploma with 1+ years of experience in engineering, facilities or material management
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 3+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology Materials Management, GMP distribution/warehouse operations, manufacturing, and supply chai
- Able to operate equipment such as a forklift and an electric pallet jac
- Able to lift, carry, push and/or pull 100 lb. of equipment or supplies
- Able to squat, bend, kneel, climb, and/or reach for 75% of the day
- Able to stand, walk, and/or move about for 75% of the day
- Previous experience in Logistics, Distribution and Supply Chain preferred
- In depth knowledge of warehouse operations in a GMP as well as a non-GMP setting
- Cold chain knowledge and experience in a pharmaceutical or medical setting
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
*This Position qualifies for a $8,000 Sign-on Bonus, $4,000 payable within 30 days of start date and $4,000 payable following 6 months of continuous employment. Payments are subject to a 1-year repayment agreement from date of payment issue. Applies to external hires only.
