Undergraduate/Graduate Intern
As a Gilead Intern, you will contribute to high-impact meaningful projects that will not only further advance our company’s mission but will allow you to gain real world experience at one of the most innovative organizations in the world. You will also have opportunities to participate in special events including professional development and leadership presentations, social/network building activities and local community volunteer programs.


HR Communications: Internal Social Media Intern

Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Supporting the HR organization by designing and actioning an internal social media strategy that
o increases transparency of activity
o drives cross-functional collaboration and engagement
o creates a better connection with HR Leadership
o and builds HR community
• To do this, the Internal Social Media intern will:
o Assist with the design and execution of internal social media campaigns
o Create “Why” and “How-To” documents to create capability, the desire and the confidence to use internal social networking systems at work
o Develop monthly engagement calendars for the HRLT based on known HR activity throughout the year
o Track engagement of high-performing ideas and share best practices
• At the conclusion of the internship, the Internal Social Media intern will showcase their work with a final poster board presentation.
Required Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be working towards a degree in communications which includes advertising, public relations, journalism and public speaking.
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8
• Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s/Masters/PhD program at an accredited US based university or college
• Must be Rising Junior or Senior in undergrad or a Graduate or Doctoral Student
• Must be enrolled in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the completion of the internship
• Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between June and September
• Must be able to work remotely or relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship
• Must show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination* prior to start of internship


Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite
• Ability to identify issues and seek solutions
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity in the workplace
• Efficient, organized, and able to handle short timelines in a fast-paced environment
