The Gilead Programming Academy (GPA) identifies and onboards Early Talent, then creates and delivers custom training for programmers and interns so that they can confidently drive treatment development for patients. By developing programmers through an adaptive curriculum that anticipates and meets the needs of incoming programmers, the GPA helps bring therapeutics to market more efficiently.
Primarily responsible for the business, operational, and compliance aspects of drug discovery, development, and marketed products at Gilead.  
Responsibilities:
Contributes on a particular component of a study or tasks assigned by supervisor.
Works with more senior programmers to learn validation programming and code inspection.
Works with more senior programmers to develop SDTM programming following SDTM mapping specification.
Develops proficiency in SAS®.
Participates in validation of clinical trial data.
Programs Table Figure Listings (TFLs) and ad hoc reports.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

Provides support for basic programming tasks and performs modifications to existing programs, under close supervision
Uses internal analysis macros to automate study deliverables.
Adheres to all GSI Policies, SOPs and other controlled documents
Provides inputs to and participates in Programming and Clinical Data Science meetings.
Works as a secondary programmer for Phase 1-4 studies.
May contribute to the continuous improvement of Programming Environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are required.
Knowledge of computer programming, SAS, or other procedural languages.
Education and Experience:

Typically requires a BS degree in Biostatistics/Computer Science or equivalent and 2 years of industrial experience
PhD or MS degree in Biostatistics/Computer Science or equivalent.
