We are seeking a highly effective Supervisor, Shipping to work in this exciting new area of cancer immunotherapy to supervise a team of Distribution Specialists and maintain a GMP/Non-GMP warehouse and inventory management system in a commercial pharmaceutical environment. The Materials Management Department effectively and efficiently supports corporate manufacturing and quality goals to ensure manufacturing operations are met. In this role you will assist in materials management to support manufacturing operations, product shipping, and component receiving to ensure inventory accuracy and timely supply of materials to manufacturing production rooms to meet demands.

Responsibilities:

Supervise the-floor operations of our cGMP commercial facility including receiving, shipping, and kitting and ISO 8.

Oversee cycle count process to ensure accuracy and control of inventory volumes

Build a team, provide necessary training and ongoing coaching, discipline and recognition of direct staff, including performing annual performance reviews

Coordinates the daily activities with staff to ensure that all tasks are completed and compliant with applicable procedures.

Manage disposition of GMP Raw materials

Understands and implements safety procedures and GMP’s

Assist the Materials Manager in establishing or updating standard operating procedures (SOP’s) as required and process controls to obtain and maintain an efficient and effective department.

Investigate and resolve problems, identifying root cause, and proposing process improvements through clear communication to senior management.

Attends, participates and contributes during team meetings in the absence of the Materials Manager.

Take corrective action to bring about required changes using change control procedures

Second shift, work on off shift hours as well as part of the on-call rotation, weekend shifts

Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in supply chain, warehouse or pharmaceutical / biotech OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in supply chain, warehouse or pharmaceutical / biotech OR
  • High School degree with 9+ years of experience in supply chain, warehouse or pharmaceutical / biotech

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to build and lead a team as well as train entry-level personnel
  • 2+ years of experience supervising staff
  • Cold chain knowledge and experience in a pharmaceutical or medical setting
  • Must be able to operate equipment such as a forklift and an electric pallet jack and drive a box refrigerated truck between sites (CDL not required)
  • Knowledgeable of the current Code of the Federal Regulations (CFR's) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment
  • High energy level and a positive outlook coupled with the requisite “can do” attitude and a willingness to do what it takes to achieve personal and organizational goals and overcome obstacles
  • Ability to adapt in a constantly evolving environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership in areas of responsibility
