Supply Chain Specialist, Material Planning *$8,000 Sign-On Bonus

Kite is seeking a highly motivated individual with purchasing supply chain experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry to support our goal in commercializing innovative T cell therapy for cancer treatment.  As the supply chain Specialist, you will provide operational support to the Site Material Planning Team. Additionally, you work with the Site and Global Supply Chain organization to support key tasks necessary to support commercial and clinical operations.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Planning raw material inventory to pre-determined safety stock levels

  • Collaborate with S&OP groups to ensure most current forecast information is utilized

  • Creating raw material replenishment plan utilizing MRP system

  • Creating purchase orders to meet replenishment plan

  • Coordinate and execute purchase order deliveries from suppliers to delivery location

  • Collaborate with suppliers for PO delivery confirmation and issue resolution

  • Coordinate receipt challenges between delivery site and supplier

  • Ensure System Master Data is accurate in both MRP and ERP systems for responsible materials

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing to ensure most current Bill of Material information is utilized

  • Establish key contacts in Manufacturing and site MSAT to ensure timely communication of changes to requirements affecting responsible materials

  • Coordinate inventory balancing between Kite facilities with global planners

  • Assist with the development of ERP requirements for inventory, planning, and other activities

  • Create and Manage the completion of deviations and CAPAs, as necessary

  • Facilitates cross functional and team meetings, as necessary

  • Create and Revise SOP’s, as necessary

  • Continuously recommend suggestions to refine and improve processes and communication

  • Prepares, reviews and presents data, reports and presentations as assigned. 

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner

  • Manage and Complete Change Controls, as necessary

  • Leads, manages and supports tasks and projects in support of Kite, as necessary

  • Ensure individual GMP employee training is up to date

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years’ relevant experience OR

  • AA Degree and 4+ years’ relevant experience in OR

  • High School Degree and 5+ years’ relevant experience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (Focus in Supply Chain a plus) or Engineering, Advance degree a plus

  • Minimum 3-5 years previous experience in GMP raw material purchasing and buying.  Interfacing with outside suppliers and service providers

  • CPIM/CSCP certification highly recommended

  • Ability to work with multiple database and electronic systems (MS Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with MRP/ERP system, a plus (Oracle/SAP/Kinaxis Rapid Response, a bigger plus)

  • Must display strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail required

  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Possesses a continuous process improvement attitude

  • Curiosity, seeking to understand, never settling on the “we’ve always done it that way’ attitude

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing needs

*This Position qualifies for a Bonus, $4,000 payable within 30 days of start date and $4,000 payable following 6 months of continuous employment. Payments are subject to a 1-year repayment agreement from date of payment issue. Applies to external hires only.
